Our Directors, Staff, Coaches and Trainers are the heartbeat of our club. It is their vision and drive that makes Jacksonville FC the great club it is today. Each one shares the same philosophy of developing the best soccer players in North Florida while creating high quality experiences in positive environments. The combined efforts of these directors, staff, coaches and trainers continues to build on the success of our club. Their knowledge, expertise, and dedication is unmatched.
Directors
Pat Cannon
Executive Director
Cannon has been coaching for Jacksonville FC for fifteen years, currently serving as the Executive Director and MLS NEXT Director. Cannon was also an assistant coach for the Jacksonville Armada FC (NASL) professional team in 2016 as well as an assistant coach for both Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida's men's soccer team, respectively, from 2011 to 2015.
A Jacksonville, Florida native, Cannon currently holds his USSF A License and his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Cannon was a standout high school player at Duncan U. Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach where he was the 1998 Times Union Player of the Year. Cannon was also a member of the University of West Florida men's soccer team from 1998 - 2001 where he made the All Gulf South Conference and All Southeast Region his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. This culminated in 2011 when he was inducted into University of West Florida Hall of Fame and named to the Gulf South Conference All Decade Team. Mr. Cannon has a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
Tommy Krizanovic
Boys MLS NEXT Director
Tommy Krizanovic has been coaching for the Jacksonville FC for 11 years, currently serving as the MLS NEXT Assistant Director. Krizanovic was also the Assistant Coach of the Jacksonville Armada FC U23’s of the National Premier Soccer League and has been with the side since 2016. Krizanovic played four years of college Soccer at Jacksonville University between 2003 and 2006. He was later drafted in the 2007 MLS Superdraft by FC Dallas where he spent the 2007 season. After moving to Germany in 2008, Krizanovic returned to Florida to sign in the North American Soccer League (NASL) with the Jacksonville Armada FC in January of 2015. Following his playing career, he continued coaching at the club in the US Development Academy Program and served for several years as the Technical Director. Currently he carries his USSF B and Advanced National Diploma.
MORGAN CHURCH
Girls Technical & ECNL Director
Morgan Church brings a rich and diverse background to the club. Most recently, as a Technical Advisor/Club Development Manager with U.S. Soccer Federation, she worked to identify top talent within the Southeast for our Youth National Teams. She was also tasked with coaching and overseeing the development pathway in some of the top clubs in the country. She also has the ability to provide detailed technical support and analysis to Clubs to enhance the environment and aid in the creation, monitoring and application of individual development plans for players and staff. Her experience also granted her the opportunity to educate and instruct courses throughout the country for various licenses.
Her career prior to U.S. Soccer, spans more than a decade as a coach, technical director, instructor and administrator in the Southeast region. Church served as the Technical Director for the United Soccer Alliance, as well as the Community Programs Director for the Jacksonville Armada. She also held the title as the Technical Director for Jacksonville FC from 2010-2014. Church also spent seven years as the Associate Head Coach at the University of North Florida, the First Assistant Soccer Coach at Gonzaga University, and Graduate Assistant Coach at Florida State University in 2016.
Daryl Sattler
Director of Goalkeeping
Daryl Sattler is the Owner/Founder of EPIC Goalkeeping ( www.EPICGK.com ) and has over 10 years of experience as a player and GK coach at the Professional level. Sattler turned pro in 2007 and played for several clubs in the United States in the NASL & USL Leagues such as Tampa Bay Rowdies, Minnesota United, San Antonio Scorpions, Atlanta Silverbacks, & Wilmington Hammerheads where he was team Captain. Sattler received awards while with the Tampa Bay Rowdies as Best Defensive player and the Golden Ball award for the MVP on the squad in 2010. While playing with San Antonio, he won the Golden Glove Award in 2012 for the best GAA throughout the season with 0.79 and captured a National Championship with the team in 2014. In 2016 Sattler was appointed Head GK coach for professional club Jacksonville Armada FC in the NASL and in 2017 his GK’s would set an Armada club record in every goalkeeper category of best GAA, most saves, most shutouts, & most wins in a season. Before turning pro, Daryl retired from playing after college where he played for Western Kentucky University (Bowling Green, KY) and still sits 1st or 2nd in every goalkeeper category for his career & holds the career shutout record at WKU with 20 shutouts. After college, he turned his focus to coaching and started his coaching career with NCAA Division I David Lipscomb University (Nashville, TN) serving as the Assistant and Head GK Coach in 2004. He then was picked up by Jacksonville University (Jacksonville, FL) in 2006 to serve as the Assistant and Head GK Coach. In 2007, Sattler returned to playing and signed his first Pro contract with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL.
Mike Levine
Boy’s & Girl’s Director of Coaching - Recreational and First Touch Academy
Mike has been the director of coaching for the recreational program since August of 2018. Mike was president of the club during the development of Patton Park and was the Tournament Director for the First Coast Labor Day Shootout for several years. He has coached with our club as it evolved from Beaches Soccer League to Beaches Kyx to Jacksonville United, to Jacksonville FC to Jacksonville Armada FC Youth Academy and now back to JFC. Mike holds his USSF B License and an NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma. Levine coached high school and club soccer for more than 40 years starting in Atlanta, GA and spent 25 years as a head varsity soccer coach at Duncan U. Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach. At various times during that 25 years he coached both girls and boys teams at Fletcher. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia and spent 38 years teaching high school physics, chemistry and biology.
Diego Velazquez
South Campus Director
Diego is in his second year with Jacksonville FC. Diego is originally from Rosario, Argentina, where he developed the deepest love and passion for the game of soccer. At age 19, He traveled to San Francisco, California to play soccer at the collegiate level. He then went on to play professionally for the California Gold team based out of Modesto, California. Coach Diego has been coaching since 2008 and has coached at many different levels including recreational, academy, club, high school, and U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy.
As a Professional Youth Coach with the San Jose Earthquakes Girls U.S. Development Academy, he had the opportunity to work with some of the top players and coaches in the nation competing at the highest level. Their U-15 team completed a remarkable undefeated campaign in 2019 with a 34-0-3 record, a +110 goal differential and a National Championship trophy. To complete an amazing year, the coaching staff was recognized by the U.S. Development Academy with the “2018-19 Coaching Staff of the Year” award. Coach Diego holds a USSF A license and an Advanced National Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches Association.
