2025/2026 Season

Ongoing reminders and updates as we head into the fall season:

Coach Quick Reference – Preseason Reminders (Aug 1 - Sep 1)

  • No Player Opportunities or Player Movement until Sept 1
    Keep all players with their own team for now to build chemistry.

  • Review your league schedule
    Submit reschedule requests early. See below for overall process.

  • 90 minute training sessions
    15 minutes off field before or after scheduled time. Coordinate warm up and cool down if teams share a field.

  • Keep TeamSnap updated
    Roster, schedule, and availability must be current.

  • Playing Time
    Every player plays meaningful minutes. Plan ahead to get all players on the field.

  • Approach to preseason tournaments
    No pressure to win. Focus on learning strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

NFPL 25/26 Preliminary Schedule + JFC Reschedule Process

The preliminary NFPL 25/26 match schedule is now available. Follow this link and select your team to view the current schedule:

Please do not share this link publicly — the schedule is still subject to change, and keeping it internal for now will help avoid unnecessary confusion.

We have until August 20 to finalize any reschedules and resolve conflicts.

JFC Game Reschedule Process:

If you need to reschedule a match, please follow these steps:

  1. Use GotSport to communicate directly with the opposing team. You or your manager can communicate with other teams/clubs via GotSport.

  2. Clearly explain the reason for the reschedule

  3. Provide three date options for the opponent to consider. You can include general time ranges (e.g., morning or afternoon), but final times will depend on field and referee availability

  4. If you don’t receive a response within 48 hours, resend the message using the email listed in GotSport

  5. If there’s still no reply after 72 hours, let me know and I’ll reach out to the opposing club’s director

  6. Once a date is agreed upon, send me a screenshot or forward the confirmation so I can begin coordination

  7. I will contact our field and referee assignors to confirm availability and finalize the details

  8. Once confirmed, I’ll notify you, and you can follow up with the opponent to officially confirm the new date

  9. I will submit the official Match Change Request to the league. Updates typically reflect in GotSport within 24–48 hours

  10. Once the match is updated, please update your TeamSnap (or whichever platform you use) to notify your team

Coaches – this is your opportunity to align your schedule with your family calendar, vacations, work trips, your kids’ activities, or your other team commitments.

Put in the work now to get organized, it’ll make your season smoother and help all of us stay ahead.

Coach Headshots: MANDATORY

Coach headshots will be mandatory this season. We will have a professional photographer at Patton Park from Monday, August 4 to Thursday, August 7 from 430 to 730pm. Every coach needs to stop by during that time to have their headshot taken. Attire TBD.

Practice Start Dates

If your first event is FESA, OC Lake Nona, or Charlotte tournament you will start Monday, August 11
If your first event is LDSO you will start Monday, August 18

TeamSnap

Please load all of your practice times and FALL events in your team schedule. If you are using TeamSnap for the first time and have some questions, please let me know.

For all 3 timeslots you should list your practice times on TeamSnap in the following ways. We still want every team to get 15 minutes of work off the field before or after your sessions.

We have to move to a 3 timeslot 75 minute session setup but we can still get the full 90 minutes if we are organized and work together.

5pm = 5 to 630
615pm = 6 to 730
730pm = 715 to 845

SafeSport, Team Meetings, and Team Managers: : MANDATORY

If you have not completed your SafeSport, held your team meeting, or finalized your team manager, please make it a priority and get it done as soon as possible.

JFC Coaches Symposium: MANDATORY

Dates: Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3
Time: Saturday 9am to 3pm, Sunday 9am to 12pm
Location: Saturday (Lionshare at 13475 Atlantic Blvd), Sunday (Patton Park)

We are working really hard on providing important valuable information and insight that all coaches can benefit from. Please do everything you can to attend both days!!!

We need everyone to mark their availability in our JFC COACHES TEAMSNAP Account. One way or the other, we need a headcount to ensure we have everyone’s gear and the proper amount of food and drinks ordered.

Preseason Camp

Please keep promoting our JFC Preseason Camp to your teams. https://jfcsoccer.com/2025-preseason-camp.

It is a great way to get players off their screens and back into a training mindset before the season begins. We currently have 81 players registered. Four coaches have already committed to work the camp, which is perfect for now with current numbers. I am anticipating another 20 to 30 players to sign up so please let me know if you are interested in working.

Each session you work pays $50. There are 8 total sessions. Coaches will receive a $100 bonus for working 4 sessions and another $100 bonus for working all 8 sessions. $600 available if you work all 8 sessions.

Patton Park Clean Up

Pre MLS Academy and Elite Boys Youth Academy Coaches are responsible for cleaning up and preparing Fields 6, 7, and 4C. I will send out a couple of dates and options for when to get that done. It needs to be done by August 1. This includes picking up trash, organizing small and big goals, fixing nets, and moving benches. Each program is handling its own areas of the park this year instead of doing one big Patton Park Field Day.
