Jacksonville FC’s Statement on NO ROOM FOR RACISM:
We stand in support of the global community in stating that there is NO ROOM FOR RACISM in our community nor in soccer. Furthermore, we want you to read several important messages from our Board of Directors:
We acknowledge racism exists in youth soccer and within our soccer community.
We commit to doing better at identifying and eliminating racism in youth soccer and within our soccer community.
We will act by ensuring our organizational structure, policies, practices, and attitudes have shared equity.
We will listen, learn, and ask questions to gain perspective and insights from affected members.
We will not tolerate racism at any level at our club and violation will result in discipline or dismissal.
One of our core values is Family – we are committed to cultivating relationships that value trust, respect, honesty, diversity, and community. Racism is not acceptable. Everyone has the right to feel safe, valued, and included.
We will continue to communicate our plan of actions that will enable us to be better as a club and family.
Sincerely,
Jacksonville FC Board of Directors
